Are there affiliates successfully employing methods like those James Martell has written about to generate traffic. Are affiliates able to generate unique local content and generate revenue from that traffic? Are there affiliates using more volume based strategies and tools to create a large number of local specific sites or pages to generate traffic and revenue? Local is becoming more important and in my experience Affiliates have always been early adopters and innovators, finding ways to leverage online marketing channels to generate traffic and money. The challenge seems to be that there are not a lot of programs available to affiliates to generate money from. There are display ad solutions from Yahoo and Google but there isn’t anything that supports direct integration within the unique content an affiliate might generate, solutions that can support very niche local content.
